I have experience making and wearing corsetry. Above is a closed front corset with external boning channels, corded bust gores and contrast stitching. It is adapted from a 1890 corset pattern, adjusted for my models size and preferences. It uses both flat and spiral steel boning.

Corsetry was one of my first interests in costume - the third garment I ever made was a two-tone silk taffeta underbust corset for myself. I find the garments fascinating both as a maker and from a historical perspective.
